Hailing from Florida, Chicago, and Leipzig, Side Part uses samplers, modular synth, and effects processors to collage sounds of both peace and horror with the same careful touch. Her live electronic sets stumble between noise and techno, embodying a love-hate relationship with the clock. As a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, she uses the electronic medium to distill her musical knowledge into a more intuitive language of rhythm and sound design. Her work draws from themes of sci-fi, spirituality, and anti-violence. She has been performing as Side Part since 2025, and is also the DJ of a radio show called Surface Detail on XCSB.
